On September 26, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Xuyang high-end polyamide new material project in Yuncheng of Xuyang Group was held. Zhang Lun, Secretary of the Yuncheng Municipal Party Committee, attended the ceremony.
It is reported that the project is a new material project with an annual output of 200,000 tons of nylon 66 by Yuncheng Xuyang Tianchen New Materials Co., Ltd. On August 31, the Heze Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau announced the environmental impact assessment acceptance of the project. Yuncheng Xuyang Tianchen New Materials Co., Ltd. was established in July 2021 with a registered capital of 300 million yuan. It is a 100% controlled subsidiary of Xuyang Group.
According to previous reports, Xuyang Group has introduced a central enterprise as a strategic partner to cooperate with adiponitrile produced by its unique domestic technology. It plans to jointly build a 300,000 tons/year hexamethylenediamine unit and a 600,000 tons/year nylon 66 joint venture. device, 60,000 tons/year PBAT device and supporting auxiliary facilities.
Xuyang Group was founded in 1995. The chemical business is one of the core businesses of Xuyang Group. Starting from coking, the company adopted a vertically integrated business development model and extended it to form three chemical industry chains, including the carbon materials industry chain, the aromatics industry chain, and the alcohol ether industry chain. The company’s chemical operation scale is 5.9 million tons/year, with 2.88 million tons/year under construction. It is distributed in production parks such as Xingtai, Dingzhou, Leting, and Cangzhou in Hebei Province, Yuncheng and Dongming in Shandong Province, and Hohhot in Inner Mongolia.
The company is the world’s largest coking crude benzene processor, the world’s second largest high-temperature coal tar processor, China’s largest coke oven gas to methanol producer, and China’s largest industrial naphthalene to phthalic anhydride producer.
On September 25, 2022, the second phase of the 300,000-ton caprolactam expansion project in Cangzhou Park of Xuyang Group successfully produced high-quality caprolactam products, achieved full process integration, and was successfully put into production at one time. So far, the caprolactam production capacity of Xuyang Group’s Cangzhou Park has reached 450,000 tons/year. Combined with the 300,000 tons/year caprolactam production capacity of Xuyang Group’s Dongming Park, the total caprolactam production capacity of Xuyang Group has reached 750,000 tons/year.
