Appearance
White crystalline solid particles are easy to decompose and volatilize when exposed to the air, producing dense white smoke with a pungent odor, which can irritate the respiratory tract and cause skin burns. This product is toxic.
Physical and chemical properties
Colorless or light yellow transparent liquid, melting point: no information, relative density: 0.9g/cm³, solubility: soluble in water, miscible in alcohol, ether and other organic solvents.
Purpose
Mainly used as a catalyst for organic reactions and an important raw material for the preparation of boron halides, elemental boron, borane, sodium borohydride and other borides. It is the basic raw material for manufacturing boron hydrogen high-energy fuel and extracting isotopes. It can also be used as a curing agent for epoxy resin. Upstream raw materials: hydrogen fluoride, sulfuric acid, boric acid, acetonitrile. In medicine, it is mainly used as catalysts and solvents in the production of cephalosporin raw materials.
