Shelf life
Basonat® HI series must be kept in airtight containers as they are sensitive to humidity. In the original unopened packaging, the product can be stored at a temperature of 10°C to 30°C for at least six months. After opening, the shelf life of the product may be shortened.

Basonat® HI 190 B/S

  Basonat® HI series can be used to formulate coatings with high light and weather resistance. Basonat® HI 190 B/S is a solution of Basonat® HI 100. Basonat® HI series may be incompatible with some hydroxyl-containing polyester resins. Basonat® HI 100 is solvent-free and allows a wide choice of solvents in the application. For example, for furniture coatings, slow volatile solvents may affect the dryness of the paint, and fast volatile solvents can be used at this time. Test results show that, in most cases, the gloss retention of Basonat® HI series is better than that of biuret-based isocyanates (Basonat® HB series). Basonat® HI series has lower viscosity than Basonat® HB series, making it more suitable for solvent-free coatings.

The amount of curing agent required for 100 grams of Macrynal® SM 636:

It must be stated that any solvents, pigments and other additives in the formula do not contain active hydroxyl groups, such as water.
