In 2015, Shanghai Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd. was established and established a production base in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone. The construction includes: 320,000 tons/year acrylic acid, 320,000 tons/year butyl acrylate, 84,000 tons/year ice crystal acrylic acid, 60,000 tons/year Tons/year of methyl/ethyl acrylate, 60,000 tons/year of isooctyl acrylate, 100,000 tons/year of super absorbent resin (SAP) and 1,200 tons/year of catalysts make the production capacity of acrylic acid and esters the largest in the country. In August 2023, Shanghai Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd. held the launch meeting of the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone’s 320,000 tons/year acrylic acid and ester project-100,000 tons/year super absorbent resin (SAP) phase II project.
Overview of Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integrated Base Project
Huayi Qinzhou Integrated Base is currently the largest single investment industrial project in Guangxi. It is the largest industrial project that Guangxi has undertaken to transfer industries from the east in recent years. It is also a “Shanghai-Guangxi Cooperation” demonstration project jointly created by Shanghai and Guangxi to deepen cooperation. The total investment Approximately 90 billion yuan, covering the four major industrial chains of modern coal chemical industry, light hydrocarbon cracking, salt chemical industry, and downstream petrochemical industry, and will be implemented in three phases.
Huayi Phase I: Completed and put into operation in June 2021, it will fill the gap in industrial gases in the park and produce chemical products such as methanol, acetic acid, and ethylene glycol;
Huayi Phase II: 750,000 tons/year propylene and downstream deep processing integration project, with a total investment of 12.8 billion yuan. In December 2022, the 400,000 tons/year acrylic acid and ester unit and the 300,000 tons/year butanol unit will be put into operation first; In January 2023, the first batch of products rolled off the production line; in February 2023, the 750,000 tons/year propane dehydrogenation unit was successfully put into operation; in March 2023, the 280,000 tons/year phenol acetone unit and the 200,000 tons/year bisphenol A The devices were put into production one after another, and the whole process of the project was successfully completed.

Guangxi Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd.’s 20,000 tons/year polymerization inhibitor project;
Guangxi Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd.’s 200,000 tons/year bisphenol A epoxy resin project;
Guangxi Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd.’s 38,000 tons/year special epoxy and silicone new material project;
Guangxi Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd. PBAT supporting 1,4-butanediol project: total construction scale of 320,000 tons/year maleic anhydride and 200,000 tons/year 1,4-butanediol, implemented in two phases, one and two The construction scale of each stage is 160,000 tons/year maleic anhydride and 100,000 tons/year 1,4-butanediol. Investment: 5.876 billion yuan. The filing has been completed and site selection opinions have been obtained.
Biodegradable materials project of Guangxi Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd.: Construction of 300,000 tons/year PBAT (first phase 60,000 tons/year, second phase 240,000 tons/year) production equipment with a total investment of 1.991 billion yuan. The filing has been completed and site selection opinions have been obtained.
Guangxi Huayi Chlor-Alkali Chemical Co., Ltd. Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integrated Base Phase III Polyurethane Industry Supporting and Waste Salt Recycling Project;
Guangxi Huayi Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. methanol-to-olefins and downstream deep processing integration project: construction of 1 million tons/year methanol-to-olefins, 300,000 tons/year vinyl acetate, and 200,000 tons/year tubular EVA units, the second phase of construction is 10 10,000 tons/year kettle-type EVA device, as well as supporting public and auxiliary facilities. Investment: 11.824 billion yuan. The project started on March 28.
Guangxi Huayi Chlor-Alkali Chemical Co., Ltd. Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integration Base Phase III hydrogen peroxide process propylene oxide (HPPO) and polyether polyol integration project.
The eight preliminary projects have a total investment of approximately 31 billion yuan and a construction period of 2023-2026.
