“PHA+PLA” toothbrush won the 2023 German Red Dot Design Award

Recently, the PHA and PLA biopolymer combination toothbrush developed by CJ Biomaterials in cooperation with environmental design expert Revelop won the 2023 German Red Dot Design Award.

The toothbrush is made from industrial compostable polylactic acid (PLA) and
Made from a PHA blend, rather than petroleum-based plastics, with enhanced environmental properties, the design was selected as the winner in the “Sustainable” category of the Design Concepts discipline in the awards programme.

The PHA+PLA Head-Up Toothbrush features an 8° angled brush head that effectively dries and keeps the toothbrush hygienic and germ-free even when you place the toothbrush on a surface —
There is no need for a separate toothbrush holder or sterilizer, further contributing to its sustainable features.
