On October 10, at the construction site of the integrated industrial chain project of Yongying New Materials with an annual output of 800,000 tons of functional new materials, various construction machinery such as cranes, pile drivers, and excavators were operating at full capacity. Hundreds of workers are performing their duties, and construction on the site is in full swing.
The project covers a total area of about 5,000 acres and is promoted using an overall planning and step-by-step implementation model. Among them, the first phase of the project covers an area of 1,400 acres. Line A currently under construction mainly includes a BDO (1,4-butanediol) unit with an annual output of 150,000 tons and related supporting facilities.
“Nearly 500 workers are working simultaneously on site every day, and more than 60 machines have been invested. In response to the recent increase in rainfall, we have dug additional drainage ditches, laid steel plates, and adjusted construction procedures to ensure that the project does not fall behind schedule.” Sichuan Yongying New Materials Co., Ltd. Civil engineer Duan Yong said.
It is understood that as of the end of September, the overall progress of the first phase of the project has been completed at 44.29%, the image progress has been completed at 22%, and equipment procurement has been completed at 93.06%. The overall progress of the project is good.
Project Overview
Yongying New Materials’ integrated industrial chain project with an annual output of 800,000 tons of functional new materials has a total investment of approximately 33 billion yuan and covers an area of approximately 5,000 acres. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed and put into operation in December 2023.
According to the environmental impact report released on the website of the Nanchong Economic Development Zone Management Committee of Sichuan Province, Yongrong Group plans to use natural gas as raw material and use the acetylenic aldehyde process to produce 1,4-butanediol, and extend to the downstream industrial chain to implement the “80 Ten thousand tons of functional new materials integrated industrial chain project.” The project is planned once and implemented in phases. The first phase of the project construction includes a natural gas acetylene production unit, a formaldehyde unit, a 1,4-butanediol (BDO) unit, a polycaproic acid/butylene terephthalate (PBAT) unit and a polytetrahydrofuran (PTMEG) unit, as well as Supporting public works and auxiliary production facilities form a production scale of 300,000 tons/year BDO, 60,000 tons/year PBAT and 60,000 tons/year PTMEG.
