Palmitic acid is obtained by hydrolyzing tallow oil or palm oil, fractionating, and pressing to separate unsaturated fatty acids, and then recrystallizes them. Commercially available palmitic acid generally has a melting point of 57.5-62.5°C.
2. Use suet or palm oil to undergo hydrolysis and acidification to separate unsaturated fatty acids to obtain palmitic acid, and then recrystallize to obtain pure palmitic acid.
3. Prepared by vacuum fractionation of mixed fatty acids such as rice bran oil, coconut oil, palm kernel oil, etc.
