CRP Technology announces the launch of Windform TPU, a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) that can be additively manufactured via selective laser sintering (SLS).
According to the company, the material is highly impact-resistant and flexible, with an elongation at break of over 400%.
Franco Cevolini, CEO and Technical Director of CRP Technology, said: “With Windform TPU, Windform Top
The number of rubber-like materials in the Line series has been increased to two types. We can meet the needs of more customers because they are two rubber-like Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) materials with different properties: Windform
RL is a TPE, which is harder, while Windform TPU is a thermoplastic polyurethane, which is softer, more elastic, and more wear-resistant. ”
According to the company, Windform
TPU is suitable for a variety of applications, including sports equipment, footwear and automotive interior components. The material is also suitable for parts that are used at low temperatures or must be immersed in oil, grease or solvents.
