Features and Benefits: DISPERBYK-2055 is a 100% solids high molecular weight lubricant wet dispersant. It is liquid and has good handling viscosity. DISPERBYK -2055 can be used in systems of different polarity, from low polarity solventborne systems, including air-drying alkyd, alkyd/amino, nitrocellulose, two-component polyurethane, acrylic/amino and UV-curing coatings, to waterborne system. It can be used for resin-containing or resin-free grinding in solvent-borne systems, while resin-free grinding gives better results in water-based formulations. DISPERBYK-2055 is the optimum additive for co-grinding - ie simultaneous grinding of different pigments in the millbase, and is also well suited for use in pigment concentrates. With DISPERBYK-2055 it is possible to produce pigment concentrates with or without binder, which can be used in both water-based and solvent-borne coatings. DISPERBYK-2055 stabilizes inorganic pigments, including titanium dioxide and transparent iron oxides, organic pigments, carbon black, effect pigments, fillers and matting agents. DISPERBYK-2055 has no negative effect on adhesion (even when applied directly to metal substrates), water and chemical resistance, hardness and yellowing resistance of coatings. DISPERBYK-2055 offers an excellent price/performance ratio.

Recommended Dosage
Adjuvant dosage (purchase form) based on:
Inorganic pigment | 8-12% |
titanium dioxide | 2-3% |
organic pigment | 10-35% |
carbon black | 15-80% |
The above recommended dosage is for reference, the optimal dosage needs to be determined through a series of experiments .
Join Methods and processing instructions
The wetting and dispersing agent should be added to the grinding base, only when the additive is completely dispersed Pigments can be added only after they are uniform, so as to maximize the effect of additives.
