The primary alcohol content of ARCOSOLV PM is very low, generally less than 2%. Primary alcohol isomers are more reactive than secondary alcohol isomers. Low levels of primary alcohols mean minimal levels of side chain structures. Electronic products: ARCOSOLV PM can be compounded with other solvents for lamination of printed circuit board products. Moreover, ARCOSOLV PM can be used for cleaning and welding melt removal and stain cleaning.
Cleaning agent: Since ester solvents are easily hydrolyzed in water-based strong alkaline cleaning agents, ARCOSOLV propylene glycol ether series are usually superior to their ester products. However, as solvent-based cleaning agents, including metal degreasing and specialized equipment cleaning, PMA or its mixed solvents are used instead of chlorine-containing solvents. ARCOSOLV PMA has a very wide solubility, and its solubility characteristics are closer to chlorine-containing solvents than glycol ethers or esters.
Electronic products: Among the photosensitive resins used in semiconductor processing, ARCOSOLV PMA can be used to replace EEA and is mainly used for the processing of anode photosensitive materials.
