The rheological properties of paints and coatings can be hydrophilic or hydrophobic according to requirements properties of AEROSIL® products. In nearly all solventborne, waterborne, and high solids coatings, add at 0.3–1.0% based on total formulation. Incorporation of AEROSIL® particles into coatings often produces pseudoplasticity associated with thixotropic effects.
