BASF launches biomass-balanced approach to architectural coating emulsion portfolio in North America

BASF is the first in North America to launch its Acronal® MB portfolio of emulsion polymers for architectural coatings. These emulsion polymers have the same properties as existing Acronal®
The same product quality and performance with the added benefit of a reduced CO2 footprint for a more sustainable can coating.

BASF’s biomass balance approach, certified by REDcert, allows the use of sustainably sourced biofeedstocks to replace fossil feedstocks required to make Acronal® products.

Acronal® MB water-based acrylic and styrene-acrylic emulsion polymers are chemically identical to fossil-based Acronal®
