The lowest temperature does not exceed -10℃, and the daily temperature generally fluctuates around 0℃. When poured during the day when the temperature is the highest, the internal temperature of the concrete can be maintained above 0℃. Instead of pouring at the highest temperature and covering it with plastic film, straw bags, etc. after pouring, the internal temperature of the concrete will also be higher than the air temperature. In this case, the concrete will quickly reach the critical strength of 3.5MPa without causing freezing damage. Therefore, when the minimum temperature is higher than -10°C, only early-strength antifreeze is needed. The goal is to reach critical strength faster.
Early-strength antifreeze does not need to add too many antifreeze components. Try to reduce the amount of antifreeze. It is not only economical but also reduces the impact on concrete. The durability is also very beneficial.
