VERTELLUS Biothane® Product Series Sealants for Medical Industry

Product Introduction
Vertellus of the United States has more than 40 years of experience in medical industry applications and is an international manufacturer of specialty chemical raw materials. The R&D and production of Biothane® series products are completed in the United States, with customers all over the world.
The Biothane® series are all two-component polyurethane liquid casting sealants based on ricinoleate, supplied as two separate components ——Vorite^® polyurethane prepolymer component and Polycin^® polyol component. Can be used in sealants, adhesives and coatings. In particular, it can be used for the sealing of cartridge filters such as hemodialyzers, and medical equipment.

Pre-reaction of isocyanate to synthesize prepolymer has the following process advantages:
Moisture resistance; Freeze resistance; Programmable viscosity; Reduced exotherm, safe reaction; Controlled cure.
In terms of product performance, it can increase its versatility, reduce internal stress and reduce shrinkage.

Application
Biothane^® The application of series products can be divided into the following three types:
☆ As a sealant for cartridge filters: hemodialyzers, oxygen injectors, blood concentrators, bioreactors , water purifiers, etc.; and medical equipment: heat exchangers, cardiac arresters, neuromodulation, catheters, etc.
