Bayhydur® BL XP 2706 can be used as a curing agent for water-dilutable lightfast one-component polyurethane baking varnishes. As with conventional DD coatings, the degree of crosslinking and choice of polyol component will affect the properties of the resulting coating film. Applications include: automotive OEM coatings (impact primers, surfacers and topcoats) and advanced industrial baking finishes (eg for electronic devices, components and automotive accessories). Bayhydur® BL XP 2706 does not contain cosolvents, has good thermal stability (yellowing resistance) and is more active than the existing crosslinkers Bayhydur® BL 5140 and Bayhydur® VP LS 2310.
         
The crosslinking effect of Bayhydur® BL XP 2706 varies with the degree of crosslinking and co-reactants.
Slight thermal yellowing may occur depending on baking temperature and type of polyol used.

Solubility/Dilution
Bayhydur® BL XP 2706 can be diluted with water. Dilution solutions should always be checked for compatibility and storage stability, especially if co-solvents are used.
