Features/Applications
Bayhydrol® A2651 mixed with aliphatic polyisocyanate is an ideal material for the preparation of glossy and matt two-component polyurethane coatings and pigmented coatings. The product has been specially developed for two-component wood coating systems and is characterized by high film transparency and high wood color warmth. In combination with Bayhydur® XP 2487/1 or XP 2655 it gives coatings with excellent chemical resistance. Co-reactants suitable for the preparation of waterborne two-component coatings include: Bayhydur® XP 2655, XP 2487/1, 3100, 304 or 305; this product has good compatibility. It can be mixed with other water dilutable adhesives. But compatibility tests must be carried out one by one.

- Recommended storage temperature: >0-30℃
- Avoid freezing, heat and foreign substances.
General Information: Cooling to -18°C for short periods of time will not normally damage this product. Freezing for long periods of time can seriously damage the product. Long-term storage at higher temperatures will result in a decrease in viscosity and/or an increase in average particle size, possibly leading to precipitation or coagulation. Contamination with certain bacteria, molds or algae can render the product unusable.

Storage Time
Covestro declares that, provided that the product has been stored in full compliance with the requirements set out in the "Storage" clause above and has been properly handled, the product has been shipped from the date of shipment stated on the transport document Within 6 months of compliance with the specifications or characteristic values ​​stated in the "Specification or characteristic values" clause above, as applicable. If a product exceeds the above 6-month period, it does not mean that it no longer conforms to the values ​​set forth in the specifications or characteristic values. However, Covestro recommends that products older than 6 months from the shipping date be tested before use to confirm that they still comply with the values ​​set in the specifications or characteristic values.
