<p style="te�Dispercoll U is combined as a curing one-component latent reactive polyurethane dispersion adhesive, used for latent reactive adhesive layers or for latent reactive film formulations. DesmodurZ 2589 is water soluble and dilutable in aprotic polar solvents such as esters such as butyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone, ketone methoxypropyl acetate and aromatic hydrocarbons. Compatibility with commercial solvents is generally good, but the storage stability of each needs to be tested. Polyurethane grade solvents should be used (less than 0.05% water, free of reactive groups such as hydroxyl or amino groups). DesmodurZ 2589 can also be used as a curing agent for two-component solvent-based adhesives. DesmodurZ 2589 is currently compliant with global regulations for food adhesives. Regulations on food migration thresholds at EU level are currently in preparation. Up-to-date statements on relevant boundary conditions (SML* and DWL** values) are available upon request.

General Information: This product is sensitive to moisture and storage at higher temperatures can lead to caking of the product which cannot be reversed by mechanical means.

Storage Time
Covestro declares that the product complies with the above "specifications or characteristic values" within 9 months from the date of shipment stated on the transport document, provided that the product is stored in full compliance with the requirements of the above "storage" clause and handled properly Specifications or characteristic values stated in clauses (as applicable). If the product exceeds the above-mentioned 9-month period, it does not mean that it no longer meets the set values in the specifications or characteristic values. However, Covestro recommends that products older than 9 months from the shipping date be tested before use to confirm that they still comply with the values set in the specifications or characteristic values. Additional Information
This product is mainly used as a curing agent in coatings or adhesives. Handling of coatings or adhesives containing reactive polyisocyanates and residual monomeric IPDI requires appropriate protective measures as mentioned in the safety data sheet. Therefore, these products may only be used in industrial or trade applications. They are not suitable for homework (DIY) applications.
