Products Introduction
TINUVIN 99-2 is a liquid benzotriazole UV absorber developed for the coating industry. Its excellent thermal stability and weather resistance are especially suitable for high-temperature baking paints and coatings used under harsh conditions. TINUVIN 99-2 can give office coatings and industrial coatings extremely cost-effective and durable. It has a wide absorption range for ultraviolet light and can directly absorb harmful rays irradiated on coatings sensitive to ultraviolet light, such as wood paint and plastic paint.

Apply Scope
TINUVIN 99-2 is recommended for commercial paints: such as boss table wood lacquer and decoration varnish; industrial paint; high temperature baking paint such as coil coating, etc.
Due to the color problem of TINUVIN 99-2 itself, benzotriazole ultraviolet rays can be used.Absorbent TINUVIN 384-2 instead.
TINUVIN 99-2 can produce a synergistic effect with hindered amine light stabilizer TINUVIN 292/123, and this synergistic effect can further inhibit or slow down a series of phenomena such as photodeformation, cracking, chalking, and discoloration of the coating.
TINUVIN 99-2 is well dispersed in water-based systems, as long as it is dissolved in co-solvents such as ethylene glycol monobutyl ether.
Recommended Addition amount (based on the solid content of the paint system)
In varnishes and decorative paints 1.0-3.0% TINUVIN 99-2
Use alone or add
0.5-2.0% TINUVIN 123/292
In colored paint 1.0-3.0% TINUVIN 99-2
0.5-2.0% TINUVIN 123/292
