TINUVIN 1130 is a liquid benzotriazole UV absorber developed for the coating industry. It has good compatibility with general solvents and water, and its excellent high temperature resistance and extraction resistance are especially suitable for industrial coatings and automotive paints. Because TINUVIN 1130 has a wide absorption range of ultraviolet light, it can also provide good weather resistance for wood paint and plastic paint.

Physics Performance

Apply Scope
TINUVIN 1130 is recommended for water-based and oil-based coatings such as automotive paints, industrial paints, etc.
  TINUVIN 1130 can be used in conjunction with hindered amine light stabilizer TINUVIN 292/123, they can play a synergistic effect to prevent coating gloss reduction, cracking, discoloration and other phenomena. Light stabilizers can be added to the primer and finish paint of automotive coatings. However, according to experience, if the best effect is achieved, light stabilizers are added to the primer.
  TINUVIN 1130 is well dispersed in water-based systems, as long as it is dissolved in water-soluble solvents such as ethylene glycol dibutyl ether.

Recommended Addition amount (based on the solid content of the paint system)
1.0-3.0% TINUVIN 1130
0.5-2.0% TINUVIN 123 or TINUVIN 292
