Solubility/Dilution
Bayhydur® 3100 can be diluted with esters, ether esters, xylene and solvent naphtha 100. Generally, it has good compatibility with the above solvents, but the stability of the prepared solution still needs to be checked. Solvents of polyurethane grade should be used (less than 0.05 % water and must not contain reactive groups such as hydroxyl or amino groups).
Features/Applications
Since Bayhydur® 3100 is hydrophilic, it is easy to emulsify in aqueous media. The product is primarily used as a crosslinker for aqueous hydroxyl-containing polyol binders (Bayhydrol®). Bayhydur® 3100 can also be added to traditional hydroxyl-free dispersions to improve their properties.
Save
The product is sensitive to moisture. Store in tightly closed containers at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Under proper storage conditions, this product has a shelf life of at least 6 months. Viscosity will increase slightly with time.
Safety: Hazard Identification
May cause an allergic reaction by skin contact. This product is harmful to aquatic organisms and may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. This product contains isocyanates. The product safety data sheet should be strictly followed. It includes relevant information such as labeling, transportation and storage, as well as relevant information on product use, product safety and ecology.
