Storage method
This product should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry place away from light.
Synthesis method
It is obtained by oxidation of dimethyl sulfoxide with nitric acid. Oxidize dimethyl sulfoxide with nitric acid at 140-145°C. After the reaction is completed, cool it and filter it to obtain white needles.Crystallized crude product. After further distillation under reduced pressure, the 138-145°C (98.42kPa) fraction is collected as the finished product.
Purpose
It is used as a high-temperature solvent for inorganic and organic substances; raw material for organic synthesis; raw material for food additives and health care products; it can also be used as gas chromatography stationary liquid (maximum operating temperature 30°C, solvent is acetone) and analytical reagent. High boiling point solvents, polar solvents, selective solvents for extractive distillation, electroplating bath solvents, ink and adhesive solvents.
