On February 10, Toksun County, Xinjiang held a ceremony for the resumption of major projects in the first quarter of 2023 in the Energy and Heavy Chemical Industrial Park. It is planned to complete an investment of 10.101 billion yuan.
The ceremony was held at the site of Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical New Materials Co., Ltd. resource comprehensive utilization methanol production upgrade demonstration project.
Xinjiang Zhongtai Methanol Recycling Project has a total investment of 6 billion yuan, covers an area of 1,350 mu, and has a construction period of 24 months. After the project is completed, it can realize an annual output value of about 2.3 billion yuan, profits and taxes of 780 million yuan, and create about 800 new jobs. The project will officially start construction on September 28, 2022. At present, the project design, ordering of main and key equipment, construction planning preparation and other work have been carried out. Up to now, a total of 496 million yuan of investment has been completed. In the first half of 2023, the civil work of various processes will be mainly carried out. In the second half of 2023, it will enter the intersecting stage of civil engineering and installation, and some public and auxiliary devices will enter the equipment installation stage.
Xinjiang Zhongtai Resource Comprehensive Utilization Methanol Upgrading Demonstration Project uses the by-product raw gas and sieve residue (coke powder and coal fines) of the semi-coke plant that Zhongtai Group has built in Toksun County as raw materials to build a 1 million-ton /year Methanol. Production units include gasification, purification, sulfur recovery and methanol synthesis units. According to the introduction of Shanxi Yang Coal Chemical Machinery, three Jinhua furnaces are used for gasification, and the coal input of a single furnace is 2,500 tons/day.
According to Zhao Yonglu, chief engineer of Zhongtai Group and chairman of Xinjiang Zhongtai New Materials Co., Ltd., the project uses the coke foam, coal powder and raw gas produced by the semi-coke plant in the park as raw materials to produce basic chemicals as the internal BDO of Zhongtai Group. raw materials for production, and then used in the development of industries such as textiles and clothing, organic solvents, and degradable materials. Realize the transformation of fuel into raw material and raw material into material, forming the coupled development of coal chemical industry and petrochemical industry within Zhongtai Group.
