Features /application
Desmodur® E 2863 XP can be used in combination with suitable polyols and/or fatty amines , such as the Desmophen® NH family, for formulating gloss-retaining two-component polyurethane and elastic polyurea-coatings.

- Recommended storage temperature: 10 - 30 °C.
- Protect from moisture, heat and foreign substances.
General Information: This product is moisture sensitive. Store in tightly closed containers. High temperature storage will lead to an increase in product viscosity and a decrease in NCO content.

Covestro declares that the product is stored in full compliance with the Where required and properly handled, the product complies with the specifications or characteristic values stated in the above clause "Specifications or characteristic values" (as applicable) within 6 months from the date of shipment stated on the transport document. The fact that a product exceeds the aforementioned 6-month period does not mean that it no longer complies with the values set forth in the specifications or characteristic values. However, Covestro recommends that products older than 6 months from the date of shipment be tested before use to confirm whether they still comply with the values set forth in the specifications or characteristic values. This product is mainly used as a curing agent for coatings and adhesives. Handling of coatings or adhesives containing reactive polyisocyanate and residual monomeric HDI requires appropriate protective measures, see Safety Data Sheet. Therefore, these products may only be used for industrial or commercial purposes. They are not suitable for home (DIY) applications.
