● The East China production base provides advanced solutions for automobile electrification transformation
DuPont held a grand opening ceremony for its integrated adhesive production base in Zhangjiagang, China. The base will produce adhesive products to respond to the development trends of lightweighting and rapidly growing vehicle electrification.
The integrated production base is able to meet the region’s supply needs, with advanced process capabilities and quality, technical support, and good transportation and logistics advantages to provide a world-class customer experience. The integrated production base is also equipped with a production execution system (MES) designed to optimize the production process and connect all aspects of the production process. MES will help make the production process transparent, traceable and more reliable.
At the opening ceremony, Ms. Wu Tong, DuPont’s Global Vice President, Adhesives and Brake Fluids, Tedlar® and Multibase™ Global Vice President, said: “We are very pleased to open a new integrated adhesive production base with advanced equipment. The integrated production base located in the Yangtze River International Chemical Industrial Park in Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone will mainly produce the following products:
● BETAFORCE™ TC thermally conductive adhesive and BETATECH™
Thermal conductive gap filler – supports battery thermal management during charging and operation of hybrid and electric vehicles
● BETAFORCE™ composite adhesives – for battery sealing and assembly
● BETAMATE™ wide baking temperature adhesive and structural adhesive – used for bonding car body structures and batteries, which can improve the car’s crash resistance and reduce the weight of the car body structure
