It can inhibit the polymerization of its microtubules by affecting the metabolism of carbohydrates in the insect body and the generation of related energy. , causing the disappearance of the worm’s epidermis or intestinal cells, selectively and irreversibly inhibiting the worm’s uptake of glucose and other nutrients from the intestine, and finally leading to the death of the worm. It is suitable for the treatment of infections caused by single or multiple helminths in humans and animals such as whipworms, pinworms, hookworms, tapeworms, Strongyloides stercoralis, roundworms, etc., but is ineffective against hydatid disease.
Mebendazole is also an oxidative phosphorylation uncoupling agent, which can inhibit fumarate reductase in mitochondria and reduce glucose transport, thereby affecting ATP production.

Drug Interactions

Usual dosage for adults
Treatment of roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms: 5ml once, twice a day, for 3 days. Repeat the medication once every 2 weeks and 4 weeks.
