The uses of bromotriazine are as follows:

Bromotriazine is specially developed for flame retardant ABS, PBT, PC/ABS, HIPS, etc. New products generally need to add Sb2O3 antimony trioxide during use. Engineering plastics containing given products can be used in various injection molding and extrusion situations, can meet various processing requirements, and can smoothly recycle and process flame-retardant recycled materials.

Mainly used as flame retardant in ABS, PS, HIPS, PC, PBT, PET, PE, PVC; used in HIPS, PBT, ABS, PS, GF+ABS, GF+PBT, GF + Flame retardant modification in fields such as PS, which has high thermal stability, UV resistance, migration resistance, and notch impact strength. It needs to be synergized with Sb2O3.

PS: Brominated triazine flame retardants have adverse effects on the mechanical properties of engineering plastics, and engineering plastics added with brominated triazine also have corresponding adverse effects on the mechanical properties. However, due to its large molecular structure, melting point closer to the production temperature of engineering plastics, good compatibility, and better mechanical properties of flame-retardant products, the damage to the mechanical properties and process properties of engineering plastics is significantly lower than that of tetrabromide and decabromide. However, the production temperature is difficult to exceed 300°C to prevent the gas from causing flame retardants and adversely affecting the surface and mechanical properties of the plastic. Bromotriazine can be applied directly without pre-drying, and the added plastic can be continuously extruded and injected without discoloration or other side effects.
