Basic information and uses of n-Tetradecane

Tetradecane is a colorless flammable liquid at room temperature, with a combustion limit of 0.5% in air. The relative density is 0.7653, the melting point is 5.5℃, the boiling point is 253.5℃; the refractive index is 1.4302 (20℃), and the flash point is 100℃. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol.

Uses:
