Product use:
Diethylene glycol amine is a primary amine, especially recommended for metalworking fluids, and can replace diethanolamine. The product is stoichiometrically comparable to diethanolamine, providing similar buffering, and the resulting salt improves hard water stability. The product is non-evaporating and has low leachability to copper, aluminum and cobalt.
Compared with other commonly used amines, it has the following product features and advantages:
- The dissolution of cobalt metal is much lower than other amines, thus prolonging the service life of cutting tools and good corrosion protection for ferrous metals
- The dissolution/corrosion of copper metal is much lower than other amines
- Low corrosion on aluminum stains
- High alkali storage capacity and pH stability
- Low toxicity, low aquatic toxicity, not easy to generate nitrite, no sensitization to human body
- Easy biodegradation, low bioaccumulation, ie high biostability
- Low volatility helps to improve the factory operating environment, low pour point and low viscosity improve the workability of the product, and adapt well to hard water
