Phase Capacitance

Can be mixed with other water-based bases, but should be tested each time for compatibility sex. All standard inert and basic pigments can be used in paint formulations based on Bayhydrol XP 2592.

Features

Bayhydrol XP 2592 (development name: BHB 13124) does not contain any co-solvents, Skinning agent as well as desiccant, therefore not marked. Coatings based on this resin dry quickly and have a fairly high hardness after drying.
After one night curing, it has good water resistance. However, high-gloss coatings require a certain amount of suitable co-solvents and added amines in the formulation.
Primers based on Bayhydrol XP 2592 show excellent corrosion protection.

Apply

Bayhydrol XP 2592 is a universal Resin; due to its excellent corrosion protection properties, it can also be used as a raw material for primers and monocoats.
Bayhydrol XP 2592 is very shear stable and is therefore recommended for dip coating applications.

Processing

Bayhydrol XP 2592 is supplied without co-solvent and uses ethyldiisopropylamine Neutralize to about 60%. For better pigment wetting, it is recommended to increase the amount of amine (ethyldiisopropylamine, triethylamine or dimethylethanolamine in case of forced drying). Added amines should be added to the mill base with the aim of achieving a neutralization level of 80-100%, depending on the coloration.

The addition of amines causes a significant increase in viscosity.
The organic co-solvent added to the formulation will affect the film formation, gloss and drying properties: add 4% of 2-butoxyethanol/Dowanol DPnb mixture at a ratio of 1:1,
The resulting coatings had similar properties to coatings based on Bayhydrol VP LS 2917 resin.
Please adopt other handling and formulation recommendations from the original formulation.

dry Agent

All existing water-based desiccants can be used, such as Nuodex® Co 7 aqua (0.08% cobalt, calculated on solid resin). Even cobalt-free driers can be used: comparable results can be achieved with Borchers® Dry VP 0347 (3-5% supply form, calculated on solid resin).

anti Skinning agent

Recommended as follows:
Anti-skinning agent based on MEK: such as Borchinox® M2 (0.3%, calculated on solid resin) or anti-skinning agent without MEK: such as Ascinin® Anti Skin 0445 (0.25%, calculated on solid resin)
