Features /application
Delta® U 62 performs excellent on most synthetic and natural materials heat resistance and water resistance. It is recommended to add 0.5% ~ 2% of carbodiimide type curing agent for one-component system. Compared with traditional two-component system, this system has no limitation on the pot life. The carbodiimide curing agent Desmodur 2802 from Covestro can be used in conjunction with Dispercoll U62 at a ratio of 0.5% to 2%. based on customer requirements, can add 3-5% (weight ratio) of water-emulsifiable cross-linked isocyanate Desmodur® product line for two-component systems, which can improve the heat resistance and water resistance of the adhesive. The isocyanate crosslinker should be added immediately before application and mixing for strengthening. Pay attention to the working time of the mixed adhesive.
In order to expand the technical performance of special application fields or customized products, resin dispersions, emulsifiers, thickeners, etc. can also be added. Before use, especially before spraying, the prepared adhesive product must be filtered to remove polymer particles that may form in the adhesive.
For heat-activated adhesive applications of Rebaky® U 62 a temperature of 50-70 °C is recommended to ensure that the dry bondline is fully activated. The actual temperature required for a specific application will depend on the pressure time, pressure level and the substrate being bonded.
Save
- Store in original Covestro airtight container.
- Recommended storage temperature: 15 - 25 °C, should avoid exceeding 30 °C.
- Keep out of direct sunlight, freezing, heat and foreign substances.
General information: The product is very sensitive to low temperatures below +10°C, which will cause irreversible damage to the product. Avoid higher temperatures above 30 °C. Prolonged storage at high temperature may affect product performance. Containers must be kept airtight and out of direct sunlight, otherwise evaporation of moisture will result in the formation of a non-dispersible polymer film.
Save Time
Covestro declares that the product is stored in full compliance with the Where required and properly handled, the product complies with the specifications or characteristic values stated in the above clause "Specifications or characteristic values" (as applicable) within 6 months from the date of shipment stated on the transport document.
The fact that a product exceeds the aforementioned 6-month period does not mean that it no longer complies with the values set forth in the specifications or characteristic values. However, Covestro recommends that products older than 6 months from the date of shipment be tested before use to confirm whether they still comply with the values set forth in the specifications or characteristic values. Covestro makes no promises and accepts no responsibility or liability for any failure to conform to the specifications or values set forth in the Characteristic Values for products more than 6 months from the date of shipment.
