On October 19, representatives from Jiangsu Hongze Economic Development Zone and Jiangsu Aowei Aramid Fiber Co., Ltd. signed a contract for a high-performance aramid and composite material project with a total investment of 5.2 billion yuan and an annual output of 20,000 tons. .
According to Tianyancha, Jiangsu Aowei Aramid Fiber Co., Ltd. was established in May 2023 and is a 70%-owned company of Shanghai Aramid Fiber Technology Co., Ltd. Shanghai Fangfeng Lun Technology Co., Ltd. also holds shares in Zhongfang New Materials Co., Ltd., Zhongfang New Energy Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and Zhongfang New Materials Research (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
Zhongfang New Materials Co., Ltd. was established in June 2021. It is a company specializing in R&D, production and sales of high-performance aramid fiber, aramid honeycomb and composite products. It is the only aramid sulfone fiber manufacturer in China.
In April 2023, located in Zhongfang New Materials Co., Ltd. in Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shandong Province, the world’s only arylsulfone fiber mass production line was fully put into operation, with an annual production capacity of 1,000 tons of arylsulfone fiber. In addition to the aramid sulfone fiber project, the company is preparing to build a para-aramid spinning project with an annual output of 6,000 tons and a high-end aramid paper project with an annual output of 2,000 tons.
