Product features and advantages: DISPERBYK-2010 strongly reduces the viscosity of the abrasive. It prevents the coarsening of pigments by steric hindrance and electrostatic repulsion. As the pigments are deflocculated, color strength can be improved, transparency or hiding power improved, and high gloss achieved. In addition, the additive also contributes to leveling. DISPERBYK-2010 has a relatively hydrophobic structure, which reduces the influence of additives on the water resistance of the dry film.
Recommended Purpose
Industrial Coatings | Specially recommended |
Car paint | Specially recommended |
Wood and Furniture Coatings | Specially recommended |
anti-corrosion coating | Specially recommended |
DISPERBYK-2010 is especially recommended for the production of stable resin-free pigment concentrates to Prevents floating and blooming of water-based paints. Pigment dispersion is only possible in water (without resins, amines or co-solvents). DISPERBYK-2010 does not contain organic solvents and is only suitable for aqueous systems.
Suggestions Dosage
Auxiliary dosage (purchase form) based on pigment:
Inorganic pigment | 20-30% |
titanium dioxide | 10-12% |
Organic Pigments | 30-75% |
Carbon black | 130-150 % |
The above recommended dosage is for reference only, and the optimal dosage needs to be determined through a series of experiments.
Join Methods and processing instructions
The production of resin-free pigment concentrate only needs to mix the additives with water first, only Pigments can only be added after the additives are dispersed evenly. Pigment dispersion is only possible in water (without resins, amines or co-solvents).
