Apply Information
paint Industry
Features and advantages: The additive significantly increases the surface slipperiness, thereby improving the resistance Scratch performance. BYK-378 drastically reduces surface tension, resulting in excellent substrate wetting and good anti-cratering effect, while also preventing the "picture frame" effect. In matt systems, this additive improves the orientation of the matting agent.
BYK-378 is effective even at low addition levels and Low foam stability. The additive exhibits broad compatibility in aqueous, solvent-borne and solvent-free systems, is easy to recoat and does not cause oil spotting.

Recommended Dosage
0.01-0.3 % additive (as supplied) based on total formulation, special cases Can be increased to 0.5%.
The above recommended dosage is for reference only, the optimal dosage must be determined through a series of experiments.
join Methods and Processing Instructions
The additive can be added at any stage of the production process, including post-addition.
Adhesive
Characteristics and advantages: This additive drastically reduces surface tension, resulting in a good base material wettability. BYK-378 is also very effective at low addition levels and has low foam stabilization. The additive has no negative effect on adhesion and does not migrate.
Recommended For
BYK-378 can be used with all common reactive adhesives such as polyurethane, epoxy or acrylic adhesive.
