BYK -346
Used in water-based coatings, printing inks and varnishes, it can strongly reduce surface tension and silicone surfactants that significantly improve substrate wetting. Does not increase surface slip. Solution of BYK-345.
Chemistry Composition
Polyether modified silicone solution.

special Reminder
BYK-345 in solution form. Due to the volatilization of some small molecular weight polyether in the process of measuring the non-volatile matter, the values of the non-volatile matter and the active substance are different.
In order to avoid turbidity, a small amount of co-solvent should be included in the formulation using BYK-345 (approximately 5% of the total solvent). In systems with high co-solvent content, the effectiveness of silicone surfactants will be reduced. In this type of formulation, we recommend BYK-333.
Apply Domain
paint and printing inks
Features and Benefits: This additive improves the surface tension of aqueous systems by strongly reducing the Leveling and substrate wetting. It has no or slight foam stabilizing effect and does not reduce recoatability. This additive does not increase surface slip. For higher surface slipperiness, it is recommended to add BYK-333.
Recommended Purpose
This additive is recommended for all water-based paints, printing inks and varnishes , need to add when usingA large amount of co-solvent.
Suggestions Dosage
0.1-1% additive dosage (purchased form) is based on the total formulation.
The above recommended dosage is for reference, the optimal dosage needs to be determined through a series of experiments .
Join Methods and processing instructions
The additive can be added at any production stage, we recommend the final production of the paint stage added.
