On February 18, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region held the first batch of major project commencement ceremony in 2023, and the branch venue of Ningdong Base was set up at the construction site of Taiguang Chemical Fiber Differential Spandex Project.
It is reported that the project plans to build a differentiated spandex project with an annual output of 108,000 tons, covering an area of 500 mu, with a planned investment of 4.468 billion yuan. The main products are 51,000 tons/year 20D spandex, 16,200 tons/year 30D spandex, and 40,800 tons/year 40D spandex. The project is planned to be constructed in three phases, each with a spandex production capacity of 36,000 tons per year. The first phase is scheduled to be completed in August 2024, the second phase is scheduled to be completed in August 2025, and the third phase is scheduled to be completed in August 2026.
Korea Taekwang Industrial Co., Ltd. was established in 1950. It started from polyester, nylon, spandex and other chemical fibers and gradually expanded to spinning, weaving and other textile industries. It has become the largest comprehensive chemical fiber manufacturer in Korea.
Previously, Ge Zaizhu, chairman of Taiguang Chemical Fiber (Ningxia) Co., Ltd., said: “Our goal is not only to produce 108,000 tons of spandex per year, but also strive to move towards the direction of annual production of 300,000 tons of spandex.” Taiguang will continue to uphold good management and service concepts, strengthen cooperation with relevant departments in Ningxia, promote mutual benefit and win-win results, and contribute to the creation of “China Spandex Valley” in Ningxia.
