Product Features and Benefits: DISPERBYK-2000deflocculates pigments by steric stabilization,It also makes pigment particles With the same nature of charge, the resulting repulsionrepulsion effect and steric stabilization prevent the pigment from returning to coarse ,So as to eliminate the problem of floating color in the system containing multiple pigments.
High gloss, and improved color due to the small particle size of the deflocculated pigments powerful. In addition, transparentTransparency of pigments and hiding power of opaque pigments
It can also be improved. For carbon black with very small particles,DISPERBYK-2000 Can significantly improve the blackness of carbon black. Moreover,Due to the reduction in viscosity, leveling properties
Improved, and can increase the amount of pigment added.

Recommended use

DISPERBYK-2000Specially recommended for automotive coatings, suitable for applications containing CAB base coat and all top coats. Even if added after grinding CAB,This additive can also prevent the pigment from returning to coarse. For best grinding results, does not have to be used during the grinding phase CAB.

Recommended dosage

Auxiliary dosage(purchase form)Pigment based:

Inorganic Pigments 12-17 %
Titanium dioxide 5 %
Organic Pigments 20-70 %
carbon black 70-140 %

The above recommended dosage is for reference,The optimal dosage needs to be determined through a series of experiments.

Adding method and processing guidance

For best performance,Auxiliary must be added to the mill first,Then add the pigment.
Pre-mix the resin and solvent components in the millbase,Then slowly add the additives while stirring. Only after the additive has been completely dispersedevenly, Add paint. In low polarity base solutions, add DISPERBYK-2000 may cause a temporary viscosity increase in the system. This isa feature of this product,It has no effect on the final dispersion result . The temporary viscosity increase mentioned above can be achieved by adding a small amount of polar solvent (such as alcohol or glycol solvents) to avoid.

Transient viscosity increase. This isa feature of this product,It has no effect on the final dispersion result . The temporary viscosity increase mentioned above can be achieved by adding a small amount of polar solvent (such as alcohol or glycol solvents) to avoid.
