Preventing and eliminating foam is an essential process during the production, filling and coating of water-based paints. The absence of foam in the paint film ensures a good optical appearance and durability of the coating. Brands such as TEGO® Foamex, TEGO® Airex, SURFYNOL® and AIRASE® offer formulators a range of products that are effective in combating foam while maintaining just the right amount of compatibility with the coating system. Using different technologies, such as silicon-containing and silicon-free, including the introduction of molecular defoamers, can solve various foam problems including macrofoam and microfoam, or achieve rapid bursting of foam, etc.
