Solubility/Dilution
Generally, Bayhydur® XP 2487/1 is compatible with organic solvents such as esters, ether esters, xylene and solvent naphtha #100. But solubility and compatibility must be tested each time. Solvents of polyurethane grade (less than 0.05 % water) should be used.
Features/Applications
Bayhydur® XP 2487/1 is a crosslinker for aqueous systems where good crosslinking and high chemical resistance are required. It is quite suitable for mixing with OH-based dispersions such as Bayhydrol® A145, A 242, Bayhydrol® XP 2427, XP2469, XP2470, VP LS 2139/2 and VP LS 2290.
Save
This product is moisture sensitive and should therefore be stored in an airtight container. When stored in the original airtight container, this product has a shelf life of at least 6 months. During storage, however, the viscosity will increase slightly.
Safety: Hazard Identification
This product contains isocyanate, which can cause allergies in contact with the skin. The Safety Data Sheet (493280) should be read carefully. It includes relevant information such as labeling, transportation and storage, as well as relevant information on product use, product safety and ecology.
Note that this product is experimental and has not yet gained extensive experience. Accordingly, the manufacturer disclaims any warranty regarding the performance of the product in operation and use.
