Features/Applications              
Desmophen® VP LS 2249/1 is used as a component of curing agent in weather resistant polyurethane systems. The best combinations of polyols are Desmophen® 1150 or Desmophen® C 1100. Desmophen® VP LS 2249/1 is used in hard coat formulations, sealing compounds and mortars for decorative stones. The above-mentioned Desmodur® series are suitable among others as co-reactants.

Compatibility
Generally speaking, Desmophen® VP LS 2249/1 has good compatibility with polyester polyols. Its compatibility with Desmodur® grades should always be tested. Desmophen® VP LS 2249/1 is slightly incompatible when mixed with Desmodur® N 3300 or with Desmodur® N 3600, in which case the product is also compatible with Desmodur® N 3200, Desmodur® N 3400 and Desmodur® NZ1 .

Solubility/Dilution
Generally speaking, Desmophen®VP LS 2249/1 has good compatibility with the listed solvents. However, its storage stability must be tested. Desmophen®VP LS 2249/1 is compatible with esters, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons and other esters. Long-term storage with low binder content may result in turbidity and sedimentation. Polyurethane grade solvents (<0.05% moisture) should be used. Solvents should not contain reactive groups.

Storage Time
When the product is stored in full compliance with the requirements of the above "storage" clause and handled properly, the product meets the requirements within 6 months from the date of transportation stated on the transportation document. Specifications or characteristic values ​​described in the "Specification or characteristic values" clause above, as applicable. If the product exceeds the above-mentioned 6-month period, it does not mean that it no longer meets the set values ​​in the specifications or characteristic values. However, it is recommended that products older than 6 months from the date of shipment be tested before use to confirm that they still comply with the values ​​set in the specifications or characteristic values.
