Features/Applications
Considering the product's excellent mechanical and chemical resistance, this product is especially suitable for preparing high strength on mineral substrates and reactive resins (epoxy, polyurethane) , high-gloss seal. In addition, the product nicely accentuates the texture of the substrate (eg pigmented paint). The binder can also be used to prepare high-grade low-VOC coatings for substrates such as wood, metal, and plastic. The product can also be used in combination with other water-based dilutable adhesives. Because there are a variety of reactants to choose from, their compatibility should be tested. High activity shortens drying time and increases productivity. The viscosity of this product depends largely on its pH. During storage its pH will drop and so will its viscosity. The viscosity can be restored to the original value by adding a small amount of triethylamine. Dowanol® PnB and triethylamine react with isocyanates as hydroxyl cosolvents/amines. According to the Decorative Paints Directive 2004-42-EC, they are reactive thinners and not the corresponding VOCs.

General Information: The product is frost sensitive and prolonged freezing can severely damage the product. Long-term storage at higher temperatures will result in a decrease in viscosity and/or an increase in average particle size, possibly leading to precipitation or coagulation. The viscosity of this product can be adjusted by pH value. As the pH value may decrease during storage, the viscosity of the product may also decrease. The original viscosity value can be restored by adding a small amount of 10% triethanolamine solvent. Contamination with certain bacteria, molds or algae can render the product unusable.

When the product is stored in full compliance with the requirements in the "Storage" clause above and handled properly, the product complies with the Specifications or characteristic values ​​described in the "Specification or characteristic values" clause above, as applicable. If a product exceeds the above 6-month period, it does not mean that it no longer conforms to the values ​​set forth in the specifications or characteristic values. However, it is recommended that products older than 6 months from the date of shipment be tested before use to confirm that they still meet the values ​​set forth in the specification or characteristic values.
