Products Introduction
Dispercoll® U58 is an aqueous dispersion of anionically modified polyurethane. It is a raw material for adhesives formulated into adhesive formulations for use in the footwear, furniture or automotive industries.
Its characteristic polymer properties make Dispercoll® U58 particularly suitable for heat-activated adhesive applications with high viscosity and good initial thermal resistance.

Features/Applications
Dispercoll® U58 has excellent bonding properties on most synthetic and natural materials. Adding 3-5% (weight ratio) of water-emulsifiable cross-linked isocyanate from the Desmodur® product line can improve the heat resistance, plasticizer resistance, grease and oil resistance of the bond. Isocyanate crosslinkers should be added immediately prior to application and mixing strengthening. Pay attention to the working time of the mixed adhesive. In order to expand the technical performance of special application fields or customized products, resin dispersions, emulsifiers, thickeners, etc. can also be added. Before use, especially before spraying, the formulated adhesive product must be filtered to remove polymer particles that may have formed during the initial drying of the adhesive.
For Dispercoll® U58 heat-activated adhesive application, the recommended temperature is 50-70℃ to ensure that the dry adhesive line can be fully activated. The actual degree of need for a specific application depends on the amount of pressure, pressure time and the substrate to be bonded
Save
- Store in original airtight container.
- Recommended storage temperature: 15-25°C.
- Avoid higher temperatures above 30°C.
- Avoid direct sunlight, freezing, heat and foreign substances.
General information: This product is very sensitive to low temperatures below +10°C, and low temperatures below +10°C will cause irreversible damage to the product. Avoid higher temperatures above 30°C. Prolonged storage at elevated temperatures may affect product performance. Containers must be kept airtight and out of direct sunlight, otherwise evaporation of moisture will result in the formation of a non-dispersible polymer film.
Storage time
When the product is stored in full compliance with the requirements of the above "storage" clause and handled properly, the product meets the requirements within 6 months from the date of transportation stated on the transportation document. Specifications or characteristic values described in the "Specification or characteristic values" clause above, as applicable. If the product exceeds the above-mentioned 6-month period, it does not mean that it no longer meets the set values in the specifications or characteristic values. However, it is recommended that products older than 6 months from the date of shipment be tested before use to confirm that they still comply with the values set in the specifications or characteristic values. The manufacturer does not make any promises for products that have been shipped more than 6 months from the date of shipment, and does not assume any responsibility and liability for non-compliance with specifications or set values in the characteristic values.
