Recently, Yueyang Changde New Materials Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Changde New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., successfully commissioned a 40,000-ton/year continuous ammonia production polyetheramine industrial unit and produced qualified The polyetheramine product marks the completion of the entire process of the device. The device uses polyetheramine technology (DICP-ATPE) independently developed by Yan Li, a researcher at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his team.
Polyetheramine technology uses polyether polyol and liquid ammonia as raw materials. After catalytic conversion, distillation and separation, etc., the finished product polyetheramine is obtained, which is widely used in curing agents, adhesives, gasoline detergents and other industries. Wind power is one of the main markets for polyetheramines in my country. According to statistics, more than 60% of polyetheramine products are used as raw materials for wind power blades every year, and there will be a broader market in the wind power field.
Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics and Yueyang Changde New Materials Co., Ltd. began to cooperate in the ammoniation of polyether polyols to prepare polyether amine project in 2020, and built a 40,000 tons/year polyether amine industrial device in 2023. This device realizes the one-step continuous ammoniation production of polyetheramine, and the product indicators meet domestic and foreign high-quality product standards.
Polyetheramine technology is an expanded application of the hydrogen ammoniation process developed by Dalian Chemical Industry. In the early stage, the ethylene amine technology developed based on this process has been promoted in 8 industrial units at home and abroad, with a cumulative annual production capacity of 210,000 tons.
