On November 9, the construction of Pingdingshan Qizheng New Materials Co., Ltd., located in the Nylon New Materials Development Zone, with an annual output of 200,000 tons of film-grade nylon 6 chips, entered the stage of equipment linkage debugging and production preparation.
According to Wang Xiaofei, the preparatory manager, the project has a total investment of 1 billion yuan and will be constructed in two phases. The first phase will invest 500 million yuan to build two 50,000 tons/year nylon 6 chip production lines; the second phase will invest 500 million yuan to build two 50,000-ton/year nylon 6 chip production lines. The 10,000 tons/year nylon 6 chip production line and R&D center are expected to achieve annual sales revenue of 3 billion yuan after completion.
The film-grade nylon 6 slices produced by Qizheng New Materials Co., Ltd. use domestic advanced and mature technology to become high oxygen barrier nylon films through stretching or blow molding. They are widely used in flexible packaging fields such as cling film, packaging bags, and composite films. . After the project is put into operation, it can meet the downstream production demand of 200,000 tons of nylon membrane every year. At the same time, it can convert 200,000 tons of caprolactam from the adjacent Nylon Technology Company on-site.
Pingdingshan Nylon City
In 2016, Pingdingshan City collaborated with Pingmei Shenma Group’s government and enterprises to build a 100-billion-level Chinese nylon city in accordance with the layout of “one core and two wings”, that is, with Pingdingshan Nylon New Materials Industry Cluster as the core, the upstream raw material base will be built; with Pingdingshan The High-tech Zone and the Yexian Industrial Cluster are two wings, and downstream deep processing bases will be built respectively.
Currently, there are more than 200 companies settled in China Nylon City, with output value exceeding 100 billion yuan. In 2022, the added value of strategic emerging industries represented by nylon new materials will increase by 8.5%, and their contribution to the city’s industrial added value above designated size will reach 23.5%.
Nowadays, Pingdingshan has formed a comprehensive industry from upstream coal mining, to coal coke chemical industry, nylon raw materials, to downstream nylon polymerization, modification, spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing, as well as polyurethane, polycarbonate, engineering plastic products, etc. The industrial chain has opened up the most complete coal-based nylon chemical industry chain in the world.
China Nylon City has set a new goal: with the existing three districts as the core, expand to the entire Pingdingshan area. By the end of the “14th Five-Year Plan”, China Nylon City will have 400 companies settled in it, with an output value exceeding 200 billion yuan, making it China’s first and the world’s leading nylon new material industrial base; by 2035, the output value will reach 500 billion yuan, making it the world’s leading nylon new material industrial base. The nylon new material industrial base with the largest scale, the most complete industrial chain and the strongest competitiveness.
