It is reported that Dow Silicones (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will expand and transform the Songjiang plant’s silicone emulsion, silicone potting and sealant, silicone paper adhesive and organic functional silicone oil devices. Among them,
1. The production capacity of silicone emulsion products has been expanded by adding a new stirring tank, with an expansion scale of 1200t/a.
2. The production capacity of silicone potting glue and sealant is expanded by adding a 300L high shear mixer and adding production batches of some existing equipment. The expansion scale is 1600t/a; at the same time, a new 500
Workshop, the press filling process and corresponding equipment of the existing 202 workshop will be moved to 500 workshop.
3. The production capacity of silicone paper adhesives will be expanded by adding new production batches, with the expansion scale being 5000t/a.
4. Relying on the existing organic functional silicone oil device in the 301 workshop to produce silicone polymers with a production scale of 115t/a.
In addition, Dow Silicones (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. also plans to replace the two sets of activated carbon adsorption devices in the workshop that are old and are honeycomb activated carbon beds. Due to the limited operating space, it is inconvenient to replace the activated carbon. Therefore, combined with this expansion, the existing silicone paper adhesive
2 sets of activated carbon waste gas treatment facilities were optimized and transformed. After the activated carbon treatment facility was replaced, the VOC removal efficiency remained essentially unchanged. And build a new set of first-level activated carbon exhaust gas treatment facilities and exhaust pipes
DA026, equipment cleaning exhaust gas and VOC barrel opening exhaust gas are collected and incorporated into the new activated carbon exhaust gas treatment facility, and are discharged from the newly built DA026 exhaust outlet after treatment.
At the same time as the expansion of production, Dow Silicones (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will also expand the packaging scale of hazardous chemicals. The packaging scale of hazardous chemicals in workshop 301 will be expanded by 700t/a (of which 490t/a involves various product packaging, and the other
210t/a only involves labeling), and the non-hazardous chemical packaging scale expansion of the 1501 factory is 350t/a (of which 245t/a involves product packaging, and the other 105t/a only involves labeling).
As China’s demand for silicone downstream products continues to increase, Dow also launched its silicone downstream product expansion project in Zhangjiagang in June to better serve electronics, transportation and transportation, renewable energy, and packaging and the construction market.
