On November 28, the handover ceremony of Dawn Polymer Materials (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. was held in Zhaoqing High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Guangdong. This marks Dawn’s official settlement in Zhaoqing High-tech Zone, thereby “based on Zhaoqing, radiating to the Bay Area, and facing the world”, creating a leading new material solution provider integrating R&D, production, sales and application.
Previously, on September 18, Dawn Shares officially acquired 100% of the equity of Guangdong Hyundai, and initially planned to invest 350 million yuan to build new energy and electronic communications polymer new materials projects in the Guangdong base. According to reports, Guangdong Hyundai is a subsidiary of South Korea’s Hyundai Group. It was established in Zhaoqing High-tech Zone, Guangdong Province in 2002. Currently, Dawn has established the strategic goal of “strengthening one industry, deepening two chains, and refining three sectors” and is committed to building a green, low-carbon, high-end chemical new material base.
It is reported that the first phase of the project will be officially put into operation in April 2024. After the second phase of the project is put into operation, Dawn’s annual production capacity of modified plastics will more than quadruple.
