On November 28, 2023, the European Commission issued an announcement regarding polyethylene terephthalate (Polyethylene terephthalate) originating in China.
Terephthalate/PET) made a preliminary anti-dumping ruling. The preliminary ruling imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty of 6.6% to 24.2% on the products involved. Please see the attached table for tax rates. The product involved is polyethylene terephthalate with a viscosity of 78 ml/g or greater. The EU CN (Combined
Nomenclature) is encoded as 39076100. The dumping investigation period in this case is from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022, and the damage investigation period is from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2022. The measures will take effect from the day after the announcement is issued and will be valid for 6 months.
Stakeholders should submit a hearing application within 5 natural days from the day after the announcement is made, and submit case comments within 15 natural days.
On March 30, 2023, the European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation into polyethylene terephthalate originating in China.
