Salicylanilide, also known as Preparation 339, is white or slightly brown flaky crystals that darken when exposed to light. Melting point 135℃. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, benzene, chloroform, ether, acetone, etc. Its sodium salt is easily soluble in water. The preparation contains 28 to 32% (calculated as aniline) salt, anhydrous sodium sulfate and sulfite pulp waste liquid. When used, it needs to be processed into salicylanilide sodium salt solution, which can be obtained by condensing sodium salicylate and aniline in the presence of phosphorus trichloride using chlorobenzene as a solvent.

The method for preparing salicylanilide by catalytic carbonylation of halogenated aromatic hydrocarbons, amines and carbon monoxide includes the following steps:

(1) Dehydration and deoxygenation of the catalyst and reaction substrate

Move the precious metal salts, triphenylphosphine compounds, inorganic bases, DMSO, organic amines, quinones, and halogenated aromatic hydrocarbons required for the experiment into the glove box and leave them for 24 hours, and measure 1-100㎎ and 3-300㎎ respectively. , 10-100㎎, 0.5-50ml, 0.5-50ml, 10-50㎎, 0.015-1.5ml, mix evenly and move it into a quartz glass reactor, seal it and set aside.

(2) Treatment of reaction atmosphere

Ultrasonicate the reactor in step (1) for 15-30 minutes, flush high-purity carbon monoxide into the bladder for later use, and use a mechanical pump to replace the atmosphere in the reactor with carbon monoxide gas after ultrasonicization.

(3) Place the above treated reactor on the stirrer and stir for 4-30 hours. When the reaction is completed, take out the mixture in the fume hood and centrifuge. The supernatant will contain the target product salicylanilide. The mixed solution was used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of the sample to be tested using GC-MS and GC.
