Storage method

Synthesis method

1. Obtained from the ethylation of diethyl malonate.

2. Preparation method:

Add 300mL of absolute ethanol into the reaction bottle, add 24.85g (1.08mol) of metallic sodium in batches while stirring, and wait until all the sodium has reacted. Add 80g (0.5mol) of diethyl malonate (2) dropwise, and finish adding in about 1 hour. Heating in water bath for 15 minutes, solid precipitated after cooling. Add 156g (1.0 mol) of ethyl iodide dropwise, complete the addition in about 1 hour, and reflux for 3 hours to complete the reaction. The ethanol is distilled off. After cooling, dilute with water and extract with ether (75ml×3). Combine the ether extracts, wash with water, and dry over anhydrous calcium chloride. The diethyl ether was evaporated, and then the temperature was raised for distillation. The fractions at 218-222°C were collected to obtain 84 g of diethyl diethyl malonate (1), with a yield of 83%. Note: ① Solid matter may precipitate during the reaction. If necessary, it can be slightly heated to dissolve it. ②Ethyl bromide can also be used to prepare by step-by-step kylation method. [1]
