Recently, Huafon Chemical announced that the company plans to donate in installments from 2023 to 2026 to the Ruian Middle School Education Development Foundation of Zhejiang Province (referred to as the "Rui-China Foundation"), with a total donation amount of 500 million yuan. To prepare a school that is “first-class in the province, leading in the Yangtze River Delta, and influential nationwide”.
It is reported that the school will be a boarding public school, covering the junior high school (three years) and high school (three years). The school covers an area of about 223.8 acres, with a construction area of about 150,000 square meters. The funds donated by the company are mainly used for the construction of the junior high school project of the above-mentioned school and the leveling of the junior high school and high school grounds or other purposes determined by both parties.
Data show that Ruian Middle School in Zhejiang Province has been established for 125 years and currently has 617 doctoral alumni registered. Zhang Wenhong, director of the Department of Infectious Diseases at Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, and his brother, a 1985 alumnus of Ruian Middle School and director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics Zhang Wenyu both graduated from the school.
