This is the first imported hazardous chemical to be declared and inspected in Jiangxi since the General Administration of Customs expanded the scope of the pilot reform of the national inspection model for imported hazardous chemicals.
According to Wang Peng, general manager of Shengyi Technology, the hazardous chemicals imported by the company were declared at coastal ports. After this reform, imported hazardous chemicals can be directly declared to Jiujiang Customs, and the goods can be directly transported to enterprise warehouses after entering the country. Under the new model, the customs clearance time for the company's imported hazardous chemicals can be shortened by 3 to 5 days, saving storage fees and other costs of about 480 yuan per standard box.
